Teaching

Throughout my nursing career, I have held a variety of educator roles, including classroom educator and clinical instructor. I am an enthusiastic educator and mentor of students across undergraduate and graduate programs, and welcome conversations with current and prospective students who are seeking potential collaborations.

I draw on a range of pedagogical approaches to foster student learning, growth, and well-being. My course and content development, student engagement efforts, and assessment processes are foundationally informed by a social justice orientation, and I strive for inclusion, flexibility, and creativity across course materials and assignments. I approach teaching and mentorship with a growth mindset that embraces an expansive capacity for learning and growth among all students, and I particularly enjoy engaging in collaborative growth alongside my students through new projects, readings, and discussions.
